Trump Voices Confidence in Tulsi Gabbard

(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump voiced trust on Sunday in National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, even though their strategies regarding Iran differ.

"Yeah, sure," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One while returning to Washington, DC, when asked if he still has confidence in Gabbard.

He noted, "I mean, she’s a little bit different in her thought process than me, but that doesn’t make somebody not available to serve," emphasizing that differing opinions do not disqualify her from serving.

Trump reaffirmed his stance against Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon, stating, "because if they had a nuclear weapon, they'd use it immediately."

Acknowledging Gabbard's perspective, he remarked, "I think she's probably a little bit softer on that issue, but that's okay," highlighting that a variance in approach is acceptable.

He further commented, "softer on that issue. But I have other people, not too many. That's an issue that we've had great support," reflecting on the broader backing for his position on Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
