Typhoon Kajiki Predicted to Unleash Chaos in Laos

(MENAFN) Authorities across Laos are urging citizens to prepare for the severe impacts of Typhoon Kajiki, the 13th typhoon of 2025, expected to unleash widespread thunderstorms, intense rainfall, and powerful winds throughout the country.

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, operating under the Lao Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, reported Monday that the storm is rapidly strengthening as it moves across the South China Sea toward Vietnam.

Forecasters predict that Typhoon Kajiki will traverse Laos between August 25 and 31, bringing heavy storms and strong gusts to numerous regions.

The Lao weather bureau has issued urgent warnings about particularly heavy rainfall and strong winds affecting several provinces and the capital city, Vientiane, especially from Monday through Wednesday.
