Trump Hints at Possible Deportation of Musk

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump hinted that he might consider deporting billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, as tensions between the two escalated once again over a Republican-endorsed fiscal bill.

When questioned by journalists about whether he would expel Musk from the country, Trump responded ambiguously: “I don’t know. We’ll have to take a look.”

These comments followed renewed disapproval by the Tesla founder regarding a broad tax reduction and government expenditure proposal.

Musk also warned he would initiate a fresh political movement if lawmakers approve the legislation.

Trump proposed that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) should examine the financial support Musk's enterprises receive.

“We might have to put DOGE on Elon. You know what DOGE is? DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon,” he remarked, using vivid language.

The former president stated that Elon is “very upset” due to losing the federal mandate favoring electric cars, and implied the billionaire “could lose a lot more than that” if things proceed.

Once defined by cooperation and shared admiration, the relationship between Trump and Musk has devolved into a highly visible and contentious clash.

This fallout began when Musk voiced his opposition to the bill at the end of May.

In a bold move last month, Musk suggested the formation of a new political organization, polling his followers on X by asking whether it’s “time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80 percent in the middle."
