Syrians Begin Evacuation from Al-Hol Camp
Roughly 176 individuals from 43 households — many of them women and youngsters — left the facility under a scheme that blends security precautions with humanitarian considerations.
Before reuniting with relatives, the group was taken to Faiha Stadium in al Bab city, where they underwent health screenings, received medical assistance, and completed registration procedures.
Muhammad Kenco, an official with the Stability Support Unit, told a news agency that although sporadic departures had taken place earlier, this represents the first evacuation overseen by the new administration to Aleppo province, and he voiced hope that additional transfers will follow.
Kenco explained that a convoy ferried the group, their possessions loaded onto 30 lorries, while the evacuees themselves traveled in four coaches escorted by five ambulances ready to handle medical emergencies.
He added that the Support Unit is catering to the needs of children, women, and men alike, with medical teams offering the required care, and that the newcomers will be resettled in newly established communities to aid social integration.
