Turkish Stocks Exchange Close Tuesday Virtually Unchanged
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s primary equity benchmark concluded Tuesday's session at 11,123.47 points, registering a marginal 0.06% advance from the prior day's close.
The BIST 100 index opened trading at 11,151.76 before adding 7.02 points compared to Monday's final reading.
Intraday volatility saw the benchmark fall to a session low of 11,093.23, while reaching a peak of 11,184.10 during the trading day.
Market breadth showed 52 indexes finishing with gains, while 46 ended the session in negative territory.
Total transaction volume hit 148.5 billion Turkish liras ($3.5 billion), with the index's aggregate valuation standing at 10.5 trillion liras ($247.7 billion).
Currency markets reflected the USD/TRY exchange rate at 42.4450 as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT), while the EUR/TRY rate positioned at 49.2920, and the GBP/TRY traded at 56.0595.
Commodity prices showed gold valued at $4,197.80 per ounce, while Brent crude oil traded at $62.75 per barrel.
